This was a super sweet book! It was WAY out of the box for my typical reads but also a refreshing change. This is set in pioneer times so things were simpler and revolved around the town helping each other out a lot. Overall a great quick read with a sweet ending. If you’re looking for a happily ever after that the FMC had to fight for after tragedy with a strong church presence in the story, this is the book for you!

Josephine’s story isn’t one I would have picked for myself, there are no dragons, no FMCs that have to save the world, no fae or magic. But it does have a story that everyone can relate to. A story that can bring tears to your eyes, have you laughing along with the characters, give you a sense of community that you either missed, like me, or didn’t know you needed. Josephine is a strong FMC in her own way and from her story, you learn to love her. By the end, I was sad to close the book, but happy for Jo.
