Is Green Crow Publishing a hybrid publisher or a traditional publisher?
Green Crow Publishing is a hybrid publishing house. This means that we cover most of the aspects of publishing while the author covers the rest. Green Crow Publishing covers formatting, distribution, and marketing/communication, and we ask our authors to provide cover art and procure any editing services required.
What does it cost to publish with Green Crow Publishing?
Green Crow Publishing does not require any fees or purchases of services to publish with us. As outlined in your contract, Green Crow Publishing will take a royalty on every book sold–meaning that we don’t get paid until you do. However, we do partner with editors and cover artists that our authors may hire if they desire to.
Does Green Crow Publishing accept manuscripts that continue a previously-published series?
As long as you are not signed on with another publisher to continue your series or you self-published your first book, we will consider your manuscript.
How will Green Crow Publishing market my book once it’s published?
Green Crow Publishing partners with independent bookstores to get your writing in the hands of readers across the world. We also use our social media, and we promote your books to unpaid reviewers in the online readers’ communities.
What is Green Crow Publishing’s policy on AI-assisted manuscripts and cover art?
At Green Crow Publishing, we do not accept any works that have been created with or assisted by AI. It is our goal to publish only the most unique, authentic works mankind has to offer.
Does Green Crow Publishing accept self-published or previously published manuscripts for consideration?
Unfortunately, we cannot accept any previously published works for consideration, regardless of whether or not the author has the rights to their work.
How long does the publishing process take?
Green Crow Publishing’s process is designed to get your book published within one year. However, we cannot determine a specific period of time, as each author, bookstore, etc. will have their own timeline for communication and publication.
